A Handy Blogspot Tip

For some time now, I have been vacillating between keeping my blog public or going private. I still haven't decided. So don't be surprised if you see that dreaded post one day (dreaded for me since that means no more comments, because really, who checks private blogs?! jk) announcing I'm going private. But in the meantime, I found an excellent tip on how to disable the right-click on your blog. Why is this important? There are thieves among us and they tend to go after the pictures on your blog. I have had this happen to a couple of my friends, hence the vacillating. They usually right click on your picture and then save it to their hard drive. Me no likey!

Check out this tutorial from Blogspot 101 on how to disable the right-click on your blog. As you can see, if you right click on any one of my photos, the option to save the picture to your hard drive is disabled. :) Just one more added measure of security, and that makes me a fan.

Hey Jamie. That is a good point, but I know my mom saves/downloads/prints pictures from my blog. I know she could email me and request that I email her the specific pictures, but really...It's such a tough call on privacy/security. What kind of pictures did your friends have downloaded from their blogs? How did they know? Do you know a way to track who visits your blog besides the sidebar widget?

Nice! I am for sure going to do that. I was thinking about going private too. I think I'm good with what we have right now. I have that statcounter.com thing on my blog and you can see who is looking at you blog and from where! I love that! Also, I have it so you can't google my blog, I also really like that feature.
