Fun in the Snow

We celebrated Christmas and the New Year in Northern Michigan this year. It was fantastic. There was over a foot of snow waiting for us and then it snowed every day we were there. We really did enjoy a beautiful Winter Wonderland. It was exactly how one should celebrate Christmas. The cousins had a blast playing outside. When we first got there Walker was ecstatic about the snow. He did snow angels, had a snow ball fight with Abe and even went downhill skiing for the first time. One morning the cousins went sledding down Grandpa's driveway. Walker first started out walking his sled down the driveway and then eventually worked his way to riding his sled down. Dan worked hard on building a snowman for the kids and Truman enjoyed sitting in a snow ditch he found. It was fun for all.

Merry Christmas

I'm a slacker. It's cool. I've accepted it. For the past three years I've had the greatest of intentions to mail out Christmas cards and every year I stall and stall and stall. Before I know it, Christmas has come and gone and still no cards. This year, I'm accepting the fact that once again, no cards will be mailed out from the Gilbert household. Here's the sad part, I really, really enjoy getting Christmas cards from my friends and family. So to all those that still are kind enough to include us on your Christmas list, Thank you and don't take us off. I have my new year's resolution already, 2010 Christmas cards. :) That's it, I'm not making any other resolutions, I don't want to burden myself and cause this one to fall by the wayside. :) I'm pretty pumped.

So to ease myself back into the whole Christmas card exchange, I'm going cyber with this one. So pretend you are not in front of your computer, but you just opened up your mailbox and there lies THE card. The Gilbert Household Christmas Greeting.

I am going to do a lot better with my blog updates (poor Olivia - dealing with the second child syndrome!) in this coming year, so stay tuned.
